The Farm |
Kadavakurichi Farm is a small family run arable farm
in southern Tamil Nadu. We grow tomatoes, aubergines, drumsticks, chilis, mangoes, bananas, lentils, onions rice and flowers. Our produce is mainly sold in the nearby market of Batlagundu. |

Trecking |
We are situated at the foot of Kadavakurichi Mountain, where you can spend the day trecking in the company of local guides; or journey up into the Palani Hills to the famous
sholas around the hill station of Kodaikanal just a couple of hours away. |
||||||||
Culture |
We are only five minutes from the centre of our local village where festivals are the highlights of the year.
You can witness colourful ceremonies, dances and dramas with village shamans performing their ancient rituals dating back thousands of years.

Wild Life |
For bird watchers this is a paradise. Eagles soar
overhead, while eagrets follow the grazing cows below. Kingfishers,
myna birds and parrots are to be found in abundance. In the surrounding fields are foxes, lizards, mongoose
and porcupine. |

Conservation |
We are currently making some of our land organic with the eventual aim to be completely organic. We can arrange visits to local schemes for those interested in conservation and organic farming. |
